The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other, explore what brings you to counselling, and begin identifying goals. For children and youth, I often include caregivers in the first part of the session.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes.
My rate is $175 per 50-minute session. I offer a sliding scale-please reach out to discuss options.
You can book online or contact me directly through my contact form or email.
Yes, counselling is confidential. There are a few legal and ethical exceptions, which I'll go over with you in our first session (e.g., safety concerns or legal requirements).
The length of counselling varies depending on your goals, needs, and circumstances. Some clients benefit from just a few sessions, while others find ongoing support helpful. We will regularly check in to ensure counselling is working for you.
I ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to the full session fee. If your appointment is in person, attending online may be a good option.
